(Arrington, Nelson County, Virginia) Blue Mountain Barrel House will be opening their tasting room at the new brewery in the south of Nelson County this Sunday, July 1st. The opening date coincides with SB604, signed by Governor McDonnell, which takes effect on July 1st. The new bill allows production breweries to serve full-portion beers in onsite tasting rooms, in addition to the already legal activity of providing tastings and purchasing beer to-go from Virginia breweries.
Blue Mountain Barrel House will be open Fridays-Sundays, from 11AM-7PM, beginning July 1st. Live music, including the inimitable Jason Ring, will be on hand for the opening celebration, as well as local food-truck company The Lunchbox. Tours of the new facility—created specially for barrel-aging processes—will be available gratis with any purchase, and patrons and families are encouraged to come and enjoy the celebrations both in the new tasting room and around the beautiful 15-acre brewery property.
